The Blue Collar Scholars Scholarship Program!

If anybody recognizes hard work, it’s us! That’s why we support the hard working students in our local community through the Blue Collar Scholars scholarship program. We are providing three different scholarship opportunities that honor our three core traits of excellence: community, leadership, and hard work.

The Details

Let’s talk a few minor details before we get to work!

Eligible Applicants & Requirements

Rising seniors, undergrads, or individuals participating in a masters program who reside in Montgomery County , Washington D.C, and/or Arlington County are eligible to apply.

Applicants may submit essays for all categories, however will only be eligible to receive financial rewards for one category.

All applications must be submitted by 12:00PM EST Saturday, July 31st, 2021.

essay submissions are to follow these specific guidelines: Double Spaced, Size 12 Font, 1in. Margins & Times New Roman

First place recipients will be awarded a check of $1,250 & runners up will be awarded $750 (Six total Prizes).

The Community Building Scholar

This scholarship is for those who go the extra mile in their community & friend groups.
If you enjoy building relationships with people, engaging in extracurricular activities, and growing your community then this might be the scholarship for you!


The Leading Scholar

This scholarship is for those who who excel in a leadership role. This can include a family, social, sport, or school situation, in which your leadership made the difference. What was accomplished? How has this experience shaped you and your future goals? What did you learn and plan to use or change for future leadership opportunities?


The Working Scholar 

his scholarship is for the individual who knows that they can accomplish anything through hard work! How has working or volunteering outside of school helped you with academic success or vice versa? How do gaining work and career experiences on top of school give you an advantage over your peers?
